Meta bans ads that assert or imply a viewer's personal attributes, including age and health. Its own rejected example is "Ready to upgrade your skin to look younger?", so "Tired of your grey roots?" is risky; write "Grey blending with a gloss finish, from £85" instead. Its health and wellness policy also bans statements of inferiority about appearance.
Hair products and make-up are exempt from Meta's 18+ rule, but ads for the cosmetic procedures it lists, including chemical peels, micro-needling, laser or light treatments and micropigmentation such as microblading, must target people 18 or older.
In the UK, the ASA says Botox and other prescription-only medicines can't be advertised to the public, including hints like "wrinkle-relaxing"; advertise a consultation instead, never targeted at under-18s. Google also restricts prescription-drug terms in ads, landing pages and keywords.
